Promio's Strategic Objectives
Our strategic plan defines the priority areas of action to strengthen the independent exhibition sector, promote cultural diversity, and ensure the sustainability of cinemas throughout Spain.
- 01
Diversity in the lineup
Promote a plural programming that includes European, auteur, documentary and independent cinema alongside major commercial productions. We work with distributors and platforms to guarantee fair exhibition windows for all works.
- 02
Audience education
Promote film education programs in schools, film cycles at universities, and cultural mediation activities that bring cinema closer to new audiences, especially young people and older adults.
- 03
International projection
Strengthen the presence of independent Spanish exhibitors in European forums such as CICAE and Europa Cinemas, facilitating the exchange of best practices and access to co-production and cross-border distribution programs.
- 04
Economic sustainability
Advise and accompany our members in the processing of public aid, European funds and cinema modernization programs, ensuring the long-term economic viability of independent exhibition.
- 05
Digital transformation
Support the adoption of digital management tools, online box office and audience communication. We promote hearing and visual accessibility through audio description and in-theatre subtitling technologies.
- 06
Sectoral advocacy
Represent the interests of independent exhibitors before the ICAA, the Ministry of Culture, the autonomous communities and European bodies, actively participating in the development of cultural and audiovisual policies.
